Furniture Design & Fabrication
An enduring love of Furniture, its history of design, style intreprations and combining textiles with furniture frequently informs Zelda’s work. She spent the first year of a Craft and Design degree, studying Furniture Design Typologies and Fabrication.
The love of photography and studying images of all kinds is of great inspiration to Zelda. Travel, nature and everyday experiences are all sources of her photographic focus. Her keen eye for pattern and the way light reflects so much our world is often present in her images. She thinks of her photography as a very important design tool.
Zelda has good experience in combining textile and fibre arts with upholstery and furniture fabrication and likes to experiment through colour and concept. This “Innovation Hub” is an example of a furniture project designed and fabricated in collaboration with fellow Craft and Design Students at Sheridan College.
